We are recruiting for the following position(s):

Director, Business Development (Full Time)

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Director, Business Development, plays a pivotal role in helping shape and execute the sales and business development strategy and to drive sales efforts and drive business growth within the Oil & Gas sector. The Director of Business Development will focus on expanding market presence, and being part of a high-performing sales team,. The Director of Business Development collaborates closely with sales leadership to align efforts with overall business goals. This role requires a proven track record in sales and business development efforts, a deep understanding of industry trends, and the ability to execute on sales strategies The Director, Business Development is instrumental in and achieving sales targets, developing and managing a pipeline, developing new customers and managing existing accounts, depending on specific business develop strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP), the Director, Business Development is accountable for supporting sales leadership, supporting strategy development and tactical implementation of requirements, developing new accounts or managing existing accounts, and generally supporting increase of sales.

  • The Director Business Development will support initiatives to help build strong client relationships, drive increased sales, revenue and brand reputation.

  • The Director, Business Development will align their strategies and execution priorities with the overall organizational goals, objectives, and strategies; actively collaborating with the Senior Leadership team to build the business.

  • Tarco’s key business areas include Engineering services, Automation, E&I construction, and Digital Solutions. A background in any of these areas, especially in the energy sector, is an advantage.

YOU HAVE:

  • Support development and implementation of the sales plan to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals to and support continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring that targets for profitable sales volume, and other initiatives are met.

  • Work constructively, collaborate and motivate a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead in client and prospect meetings or engaging other corporate resources as required.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners to drive business opportunities and enhance the company's reputation.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market shifts, and technological advancements to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.

  • Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Engineering, Project Management, and Finance, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

  • Report on sales activity and forecast to the Sales Leadership team, effectively manage sales pipeline, including entry of data into CRM tools and follow other sales management processes, as required.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums, showcasing our expertise and thought leadership in the Energy/Oil & Gas sector.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent would be an asset, but not mandatory.

  • At least seven years of experience successfully producing sales with a proven track record within the Oil & Gas industry, demonstrating consistent success in driving revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Deep understanding of and experience with selling EPC or similar services, industry dynamics, market trends, and customer needs within the Oil & Gas sector.

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire colleagues in a high-performing sales team.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a forward-looking vision to capitalize on future opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.

  • A well-established network and respected reputation within the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-

    functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
