About the job:

The Technical Lead – ICE is accountable for assisting the Discipline Lead – ICE to provide leadership, direction, and development within the Electrical Department, ensuring technical excellence and consistent client satisfaction in the overall delivery of engineering services related to the specific program which they are responsible. The Technical Lead – ICE is responsible for the day-to-day resource planning and direction of the assigned team. The Technical Lead’s primary responsibility is the creation and maintenance of all team and program specific standards, procedures, quality assurance, quality control, resource planning, resource scheduling and strategic initiatives like team specific technical audits to drive technical excellence that will help establish and maintain strong client relationships, drive increased productivity, revenue, and brand reputation.

What you’ll do:

  • Experience with on-site commissioning and startup.
  • Good understanding of consulting, business development (with regards to proposal and estimate generation or contribution), client BD and sub-contractor communications.
  • Strong technical trouble shooting skills.
  • Technical proposal development.
  • Advanced technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Electrical and Instrumentation installation
  • Instrumentation, electrical and control system design.

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years technical experience leading the efforts of a multi-disciplinary engineering group, or a combination of education and/or 10-15 years’ experience in any combination of the following industries: Consulting Engineering / Electro-Mechanical Engineered & Manufactured Products / Industrial Automation, Construction Management & Project Management/Controls.
  • Must possess a valid Canadian Driver’s License.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • Demonstrated success in a customer-facing operations management role.
  • Preference will be given to Professionally Designated Engineers and/or Technicians, with a strong people and customer focus and direct industry experience.
