Tarco is currently recruiting for the following position(s):

Drafting Technician (Autocad)

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

Provide design/drafting services for Tarco as directed by our engineers and designers, following processes and procedures while maintaining company drawings and asset information.

Ensure that the consistency of high-quality services is delivered in a timely manner.

Manage requests for modifying existing drawings and/or creating new drawings to support company needs. Work with our engineers and designers to track and monitor requests, determine the best method for completing the work and complete the work as planned.

Execute design ideas in CAD for Electrical, Mechanical, Process and Piping disciplines.

Provide quality checks on incoming drawings from external contractors, guarantee that company standards are followed in the checked in/out drawings, and make sure that all drawings are accounted for in the drawing management system.

Maintain the completeness and integrity of Tarco drawings and asset information, investigate and resolve missing or misplaced drawings.

Participate in the maintenance, updating, and creation of new standards or procedures for drafting services under the direction of our engineers and designers to support the generation of drawings and the efficient management of asset information.

Contribute to the group budget process by identifying needs and planning for drafting costs. Track times spent on work items.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

Post-secondary education in drafting or drafting related study. A diploma in electrical drafting/design is an asset.

AutoCAD Lisp (Or other scripting techniques)

Min. 5+ years’ experience

Oil and Gas Industry experience an asset but not required.

Proficient with AutoCAD and related software programs. Understanding of all drawing disciplines (Electrical Mechanical, Process, and Piping) with a particular focus on electrical and instrumentation.

Competent in reading drawings in all disciplines and can interpret design ideas (emphasis on Electrical and Piping disciplines).

Proficient in MS Office programs.
