About the job:
This position is responsible for creating accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of industrial projects, including construction and maintenance within sectors such as oil and gas, power generation, and heavy industry. This role ensures that projects are competitively priced, resource-efficient, and aligned with client requirements and company goals.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze project documentation, such as blueprints, specifications, and proposals, to determine the scope of work and cost parameters.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Ensure estimates align with company policies, industry standards, and client expectations.
- Present bid packages and support the negotiation of project contracts with stakeholders.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering options.
- Track industry trends, pricing, and regulations that may affect project costs.
- Develop preliminary schedules, identifying critical milestones and key deliverables.
- Assess potential project risks and include contingencies in the cost estimate.
You are:
- Proficiency in estimation tools and software.
- Experience with Accubid
- Strong understanding of industrial processes, codes, and standards.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial estimation or a related field.
- Proven track record of preparing competitive bids for industrial projects.
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning in industrial environments.
