Power Generation

Power generation for electric utilities, is the first process in the delivery of electricity to consumers.  Since the first central stations of 1881 reciprocating engines, and more recently turbines, have generated electricity through the combustion of fossil fuels. When newer technologies emerged, power generation went from simple cycle to combined cycle configurations to improve efficiency.  Today, advanced configurations such as CHP are available that continue to increase efficiency of facilities.  All of these systems are interconnected with complex control systems that monitor and control each desired function.  Whether it be single unit control or total plant DCS systems, Tarco can assist you in maintaining today's regulatory and energy demands.

Tarco provides fully engineered controls packages to upgrade and modernize turbines and other prime movers as well as all auxiliary equipment.  These upgrades improve reliability, reduce obsolescence, increase maintainability and enhance operation of older engines, extending the useful life of the equipment and minimizing down-time losses.
