The transportation of natural gas consists of a complex network of pipelines designed to quickly and efficiently move natural gas from its origin, to areas of high natural gas demand. These intertwined networks are closely linked to storage facilities whereby surplus gas is placed in underground caverns and reservoirs should it not be required at that time. All of these systems require compression and where there is compression there are engines, electric motors and gas turbines.
Tarco provides fully engineered controls packages to upgrade and modernize turbines and other prime movers used in both pipeline compression and underground storage facilities. These upgrades improve reliability, reduce obsolescence, increase maintainability and enhance operation of older engines, extending the useful life of the equipment and minimizing down-time losses.
